Fernando Ramirez’s family migrated to the U.S., facing language and cultural barriers. This experience sparked a commitment to support marginalized communities, planting the early seeds of Bridges 2030.

With 25 years of social impact experience, Fernando established Bridges 2030 as a 501(c)(3) NGO. Inspired by global travels and the UN SDGs, it supports those in need while educating future changemakers.

Bridges 2030 works with Congreso de Latinos Unidos to help Philadelphia families. Through “Books & Boots,” education meets teamwork taught through soccer, and an annual gift drive extends our local impact.

When conflict displaced millions in Ukraine, Bridges 2030 aided those settling in Philadelphia. We raised $7,500 for essentials and amplify Ukrainian voices by hosting presentations where individuals share their journeys.

Our debut film showcases displaced Ukrainian families in Philadelphia and relief efforts in Poland, illustrating the power of storytelling to inspire empathy. By engaging schools, we empower the next generation of global citizens.

We began our partnership with TEEEM (The Empathy, Equality, Entrepreneurship Mission), expanding our reach and impact. Together, we are equipping the next generation of changemakers with the tools, empathy, and leadership skills to build a more connected and compassionate world.

ABOUT US

Fernando Ramirez is a social impact leader with more than 25 years of experience building programs that combine empathy, education, and action. His journey began with his family’s migration to the United States, where navigating cultural and language barriers sparked a lifelong commitment to supporting marginalized communities.

In 2020, he founded Bridges 2030 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to amplifying displaced voices and equipping youth to lead with compassion. Under his leadership, the organization has launched global partnerships, produced the documentary Beyond the Statistics, and expanded initiatives that connect classrooms with real-world challenges.

Fernando’s vision is clear: to ensure the next generation of changemakers has the tools, courage, and community to turn empathy into impact, both locally and globally.

Antonina Student is a Ukrainian changemaker and student at Columbia University in New York City. Growing up in the small town of Sokal, she saw firsthand how few opportunities existed for young people to learn, connect, and dream beyond their circumstances. Instead of accepting that reality, she decided to change it.

At just a teenager in Sokal, Antonina founded Tomorrow by Together (TbT), a student-led nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities where none existed. What started as a simple idea—to give her peers a chance to learn and grow—soon became a movement. Over the past five years, TbT has brought festivals, camps, and workshops to life, and continues to mentor young volunteers through online trainings. For Antonina, every program is a reminder that when youth are trusted with responsibility, they rise to it, and often exceed expectations.

Her passion for service grew as she volunteered with Caritas Ukraine, one of the country’s largest NGOs, and later coordinated the Unissued Diplomas Exhibition in Wales, a global project honoring the Ukrainian students who lost their lives defending their country. These experiences deepened her belief that stories, especially those of young people, can be a powerful force for empathy and change.

Today, Antonina continues to blend activism, leadership, and education, driven by the belief that young people are not just the future, they are the present. Her journey is a testament to how one determined voice can inspire many, and how communities can be transformed when teenagers are empowered to lead with courage, empathy and compassion.
